Professional experience as Support Engineer, Instructor, Sales Engineer, Field Application Engineer and Project Manager in measurement and control equipment and automotive industry.
1996: My personal first programming language was QBasic. A text based mini adventure game was the first result, beginning to understand programming logic but having no idea what to do with it.
2002: Entering web-development with a food-delivery website to order lunch for my class-mates – little idea did i have about this topic blowing up 10 years later!
2004: The next iteration was a friendship blog wherever-we-are.com with cutting-edge java-script image preloading and the ability to plot travel routes on google maps.
2006: Created a commercial website lastmile.de featuring a WYSIWYG editor, a one to many database for international partners and page templates for products, press releases and news.
2010: The Nintendo Wii Motion Plus module offered access to the first cheap two axis MEMS gyro (TDK InvenSense IDG-650). This made my first multicopter possible. Introducing a simple control deadband I enabled more stability in hover than the community had imagined.
2011: First smart-home solution using TouchOSC and a networked Arduino.
2014: Implement a quadcopter control system using FPGA and VxWorks instead of a microcontroller (National Instruments sbRIO Platform).
2016: Advanced custom smart-home sensor node implementation based on Pimatic and ESP8266 with sensors for light intensity, motion, IR (in / out), 433 MHz.
2022: CAD design and 3D FDM printing. Drone parts, electronics enclosures, mini hovercraft.
2023: Created a plugin to import registered pilots from a Contact Form 7 csv export into RotorHazard fpv race timing software.
2024: Usermod for WLED, plugin and USB interface for LED Control in RotorHazard facilitating ESPnow for wireless communication.
2025: Create copterrace.com fpv race website using Python, PHP, JS ES6, SQL.
